RSS help!!! I'm a hair away from getting it! Any help (TheGuaz?)?

  • Hey everyone. I'm launching a site for a really cool client and have been looking for the definitive RSS parsing setup to view their WordPress blog in the Flash environment. I downloaded EVERY tutorial I could get my hands on but it was the FLA posted by TheGuaz that was the closest to what I need.

    Anyway, I'm pretty clearly using a basic version of his code (and will credit him) on the site but am stuck on ONE thing. When you click on the links from the feed, it only posts the newest entry, regardless of which one you click. I went to WordPress and disabled the newest entry, the each link pointed to the next newest one. What the hell? The weird thing is when I run his site off my server it does the exact same thing.

    I would LOVE to get this running. It's absolutely bad*****. Any help.

  • I'm not good enough with Flash to help you with your original problem, but I just wanted to show you what his site looks like on my browser. The text is too small for a Mac and the scrolling section floats off the display area.

  • Here is the file I'm referencing. It's so awesome except for the fact that no matter what blog summary ID I click, just the newest one comes up in the middle pane. Can anyone get this to work?

    It's pretty confusing, BTW, since there's a ton of his unused code and half of it is coded in Spanish!
