Buying cell phones off of ebay?

  • is it safe buying cell phones off of ebay?..how do u kno that u will actually get your proudct?


  • I have bought several phones that way. Check their feedback rating, anything above 98.5% is good to me, especially if they have a lot of feedback. Also, check their "feedback" as a seller to see if there are any negatives in the past few months and what the complaint is. But if they have a high enough feedback rating, I would go ahead and buy from them. Also, make sure the cell phone you're buying is compatible with your cell phone provider.

    if it's a phone that's unlocked, they did something to it that is NOT illegal (unless u do it on the iPone 3G i think) but it destroys the warranty and if something happens to it, your company cant help you of cover it.

    If it's a phone that shouldn't come out to the US until later, chances are is just like an old prototype that the testers used or it just plain doesn't work and they don't give it to you.

    Be careful with eBay. i LOVE them and i buy electronics from them all the time, but some people on them are just not trustworthy (check their % on something that shows buyer feedback. it says how much of the stuff that he sold the buyer was happy and it was successful)
