    It's her choice obviously, but it seems that after the first 40 or 50 years, she'd want to break one off just to say she did.

  • I agree with paganmom. There are plenty of asexual people out there who just aren't interested. Just look at some of these comments -- I wouldn't be advertising my status either. Of course at 105 -- she can say whatever she likes.


  • My great aunt was in her 70's and got married finally, she was one too. Some of us have a stronger drive than others I guess.

  • I guess it is a personal choice, but not having that closeness (or fun) with someone is pretty sad.
    I am wondering if maybe she got burned by a guy early on and it completely turned off.

  • Everyone's sex drive is different.
    Just because one person wouldn't be able to practice celibacy doesn't mean another can't and shouldn't.

    Kudos to her for thinking for herself and not giving in to social pressure.


  • I applaud her! In this day and age, it's nearly a miracle that she could withstand the constant bombardments of sex, via advertising, television shows, movies, and men coming on to her. I greatly admire her self-control. Also, there's no doubt she has a friendly vibrator, in a drawer somewhere.
