Images in vb 3.7.2

  • Hi.
    I install new fresh copy of vbulletin (3.7.1+patch_v2), everything works, but i can't add image via url (eq http://address/to/image.jpg. I see picture in edit box, but, when I post message I see only
    http/address/to/image.jpg - one slash, and colon disappear.
    Groups, and forums have right permissions. I try do the same on old version (3.7.1+patch_v1), and I haven't any problem with images.

    Any ideas?


  • Server is running under linux with 2.6 kernel, php 5.1.6 with suhosin patch, mysql 5.

    I'm sorry, i'ts a little inaccuracy.
    I have problem with:
    vbulletin_3-7-1_Patch_Level_2_VBF4853D9B.zip
    and everything works fine with:
    vbulletin_3-7-1_Patch_Level_1_VBF4853D9B.zip

    You must register new user to see posts.

    I think, the same problem are, when I try add link with tags link without comment. You can see this in this post.


  • I still get the same error: [403] Forbidden : Dostęp zabroniony

    To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

    Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

    [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

    Next, disable all plugins.

    Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under
    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

    Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

  • @Jason2 I don't know. I only install a package, which forum's owner download from vb page :).
    Ths forum yesterday was converted from phpbb v2 to vb :).
