Solve the logarithmic equation?

Filed Under zjbr.com |

  • x=3 log3(1) Log3(1) is small above the 3 like its the square root. Im sure Im making this harder than it is but please any help will be welcomed.

    3^log3(1)=????

  • Perhaps this is asking for 3 x log(base 3) 1. If so, the answer is Zero because the log of 1 on any base is zero.

    This is because x^0 = 1 and log(base x) 1 = 0 from the definition of a logarithm

  • I assume you mean that the 3 is small i.e. the log is to the base 3

    so we get
    x = 3 ^ [log (base 3) 1]

    now we know that when log (base a) b = c
    means that a^c = b

    so for the logarithmic expression, we get
    a = log (base 3) 1
    3^a = 1
    => a = 0 since any number to the power of zero is 1

    so we get
    x = 3^(0)
    x = 1
