  • Snow Fire is my favorite..also smells good..Its petals are bright red on top and white underneath. I also like Double Delight, another one that is a good smeller..


  • I had a beautiful Jackson Perkins 'Queen Elizabeth,' which has large pink petals. When I moved, I left it behind. :( I love pink roses. This past Spring we planted three J.P climbers, 'Blaze of Glory,' a dark coral/red color. I hope they make it over the winter. I have them mulched. I still think pink roses are so delicate and feminine though.


  • In my last house I planted Floribunda roses instead of a hedge.


  • I grow beautiful "Moonshadows" the lavender ones, and wonderful "Mr. Lincoln's". But my personal favorite is the Tropicana. Have no idea why, either.

  • My choice forever is the 'Apothecary' rose. In the beginning 4 rose bushes were brought to the Americas. The Apothecary was one of those 4. It is not a hybrid of any sort. It is a climbing rose with lovely deep pink flowers and has the most wonderful aroma in the whole universe. They are difficult to find. Try finding one on line to order. They are extremely hardy and require little care except for pruning. I transplanted mine to a home for unwed mothers. It is appreciated and admired in its new home.


  • I have several in my yard and my all time favorite is the Tiffany rose. The scent is heavenly and the rose shares the same name as my daughter. My second favorite is Blue Girl. I wish I had more room for roses.

  • they are called paradise. they have red and pink petals on the same flower. pink in the center and getting darker toward the outside, until they are almost red. i have three of these, and they are taller than me.
